I grew up in Walla Walla, Washington with my parents and older brother who is an airline pilot and now lives in Texas with my beautiful niece and three wonderful nephews. I am also the mother to a loving yet stubborn Yellow Lab/Weimaraner mix.
After graduating from Walla Walla High School, I attended Western Washington University (WWU) in Bellingham, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. It was here that I met wonderful friends who have become like family to me.
After graduation, I worked as a compliance officer at an investment broker/dealer in downtown Seattle. I thoroughly enjoyed working in the investment industry and found learning about the stock market to be extremely interesting and exciting. As a side note – I was working in the Washington Mutual Tower when the market burst in 2008. This provided a very interesting perspective on the power of the stock market and the financial industry as a whole.
During my time working in this industry, I achieved my Series 7, 66, 24 and 53 licensing through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Securities Exchange Commission.
In 2013, I moved back to my hometown of Walla Walla to be closer to and enjoy my family. I did compliance at a local bank for a couple years and then started working for a local accounting firm for 4 years where I did tax returns and payroll.
Throughout all of this I have always had a strong desire to own my own business, something that could really help and educate small entrepreneurs. I started Cascade Northwest Bookkeeping (CNW Bookkeeping) as a way to bring this dream to life. CNW Bookkeeping is a virtual bookkeeping company so you do not have to leave the comfort and safety of your home or office. I am excited for this adventure and can’t wait to work with you!
